Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal, born on December 28, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi district, Uttar Pradesh, is a young and dynamic Indian cricketer who has captured hearts with his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to cricketing stardom.  

 Early Life and Background  

Yashasvi was born into a modest family. His father, Bhupendra Jaiswal, runs a small hardware shop, and his mother, Kanchan Jaiswal, is a homemaker. As the youngest of six siblings, Yashasvi showed a keen interest in cricket from an early age. However, his family's financial struggles meant that resources were scarce.  

At the age of  11, Yashasvi moved to Mumbai to pursue his cricketing dreams. He initially stayed with his uncle but soon faced challenges as space and finances became constraints. Determined to make it big, Yashasvi lived in a tent near the Azad Maidan cricket ground and worked odd jobs, including selling pani puri (street snacks), to make ends meet. Despite these hardships, his focus on cricket never wavered.  

Cricket Journey  

Yashasvi's talent did not go unnoticed. His exceptional performances in local tournaments earned him a spot in Mumbai's junior teams. His breakthrough came in 2015, when he scored a record 319 runs not out and took 13 wickets in a Giles Shield match, making headlines.  

He made his mark in the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy, becoming the youngest player to score a List-A double century at just 17 years old. Representing Mumbai, he smashed 203 runs off 154 balls against Jharkhand, showcasing his ability to dominate bowlers.  

His stellar performances earned him a place in India’s squad for the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he finished as the tournament's highest run-scorer, with 400 runs in six matches. His consistency and calm demeanor under pressure caught the attention of cricketing pundits worldwide.  

 IPL and International Career  

Yashasvi’s rising reputation led to him being picked by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction  for a whopping ₹2.4 crore. Though he had a modest start in the IPL, he worked tirelessly to improve his game, and by the 2023 season, he emerged as one of the standout performers, scoring "625 runs in the tournament, including a memorable century against the Mumbai Indians.  

In 2023, Yashasvi made his ,Test debut for India against the West Indies, where he scored a remarkable **171 runs** in his maiden innings. This innings not only cemented his place in the national team but also showcased his ability to adapt to different formats.
